My child has never been in childcare before. How do we transition into Laugh & Learn ELCC?
We recognize that many of the children who register with us, will be entering childcare for the first time. While this can be a fun experience, we know how stressful and scary it may feel for you and your little one.
As your child enters into our family, we will ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible. In fact, your registration fee includes three transition days in which your family can use to become more familiar with the centre and educators.
Speak to us about your concerns or any thoughts you may have. Our goal is to ensure its a smooth transition for all… you included!
Why is your centre called an “Early Learning and Childcare Centre”?
Our mission is to help create and build strong minded, healthy, and confident human beings. The centre is the vessel for doing so. So we have ensured that our curriculum and environment will stimulate your child’s drive for exploration, discovery, and learning.
As we’ve stated before, the first five years of your child’s life are crucial for their overall development, and we take our influence in that seriously. Our interactions with your child and our environment will encourage, flexible thinking for 21st century learners, and an inquiry process of problem solving, evaluating, and applying knowledge and creativity.
How much time will my child spend outdoors?
Weather permitting children are scheduled to be outdoors for 2 hours each day: one hour in the morning, and one hour in the afternoon.
Allotted times may differ, but educators may reduce or increase the time spent outdoors depending on the weather conditions and engagement.
